What cookies are

Essential cookies

Essential cookies and similar technologies are needed for the website or storefront to work properly. These may be used to:

• protect forms and checkout pages from spam, bots and abuse;
• remember items in a domain search, cart or checkout;
• support account login, authentication and session security;
• process payments securely through Stripe;
• remember cookie and privacy choices;
• allow secure website administration sessions for authorised staff.

These cookies are usually required to provide the service you asked for, so they do not normally require consent.

Consent management cookies

CookieYes sets a necessary cookie, usually called cookieyes-consent, to remember your consent choices and store a consent ID. Analytics cookies

We use Google Site Kit to help connect Google services such as Search Console, PageSpeed Insights and, where enabled, Google Analytics. Search Console and PageSpeed Insights do not normally set analytics cookies for visitors.

If Google Analytics is enabled, it may use analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to understand visits and website usage. These analytics cookies should only be used after you have accepted analytics cookies where consent is required.

Marketing cookies

We do not currently intend to use advertising or remarketing cookies on the main Longstone IT website. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Forms, email and CRM

Our contact and support forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. Form messages may be delivered using Postmark and managed in ActiveCampaign or another CRM/support tool. These services help us respond to enquiries and keep records of the conversation.

Domain storefront and checkout cookies

The Longstone domain storefront is provided through OpenSRS/Tucows and uses Stripe for payments. The storefront may set cookies or use similar technologies to run domain searches, accounts, carts, checkout, payment security, tax calculation, support and order management.

Some storefront pages may also include provider-managed scripts. We keep this under review and aim to disable non-essential analytics or tracking where the platform allows, unless a suitable consent mechanism is in place.

CookieYes maintains the current cookie categories and cookie list for this website through the cookie banner. Because cookies can change when services are updated, the banner and Cookie Settings panel should be treated as the most current list.

The main cookies or cookie types we expect to use are:

• cookieyes-consent: remembers CookieYes consent choices and consent ID. Necessary.
• Cloudflare security cookies: used for security, bot protection, traffic routing and Turnstile checks where needed. Necessary.
• Website administration login/session cookies: used only for authorised staff who sign in to manage the website. Necessary.
